Got some Great Items Great price

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Decorated my house. Saved a lot of money. I have a lot of fun,at them. Look online first for items you need ,then plan to go on the weekend ,and make a deal ,try to barter your best price, and hopefully you will come out happy as I do.with inflation estate sales make a lot Of sense . You pay a fraction of retail.

I feel that is not right for other customer to , give a poor rating when there is no Merit, every person has their own opinion, but it does not seem right one bad customer can attack a business,to misrepresent as such without much meaning, I have been to 100 of their sales ,when I find the total opposite, when I go to their sales. I just don't see how one bad apple, seems to be attacking this company, They have such high end sales, it's very Enjoyable to spend the day out and find great items, from such high-end homes.

I bought a tractor last year,to do my lawn it has saved my back, best purchase I have ever made. If not for estate sales,i would not be able to buy luxury items,at affordable prices. It's not the only item I bought. I purchased a snowblower and other tools for around the house. I love estate sales thank you.

Interesting that after scathing reviews there appears to be self-serving reviews. This forum is for pissed consumers. Why arent there any reviews on Yelp? Interesting. Suspicious. Buyer beware! Also you may want to cover your license plate lest they take a photo and post it! Yup, thats their standard operating procedure. How are they still in business?! Hard to keep up with the name changes but it is still the same Motley Crue!

Did great job with fathers house in Newton

I hired this company to run my father's estate sale, my father is 84 years old, they sold everything in the house for the most part. They got pretty good prices, would use them again. We had a lot of jewelry to sell they did a great job, would definitely recommend them again.

To the woman who tried to steal the bags from us by telling everyone they are fake, jokes on you Hermes real real real , just got confirmation from the young lady that bought it, she had it authenticated, amazing to me you can walk in a room and say 20 bags are fake in 5 minutes, guess you missed that class growing. As with any items of jewelry, autographs, and name brands we have 5 day return policy if any item is not real.

How dare you accuse me of internet tomfoolery. Saying I'm posing as my customer.

You're sadly mistaken. Is not me for the record. I've just been introduced to this cowardly page. That was my customer you twit.

You calling me out making up lies, was a grave mistake. I don't take kindly to slander. Weak depraved unloved people do what you're doing. Are you bitter that you didn't get to purchase a real Hermes for short money ????

Based on how you present yourself to the public. Your assessment of designer goods is you as a whole marginal at best. You have something to say to me have the courage and where with all to say it to my face.

I know who you are and what drive plate etc. I suggest you retract this post.

I was also at the sale and there are original store receipts for most of the bags!! I bought one of the bags - and it not only has the serial number and markings it has the store receipt.

I believe this person is irate that they didn’t get the bag they wanted as people bought immediately when the sale started.

They also told me I can get the bag verified if I wanted and then return it within a week if it wasn’t authentic. The estate sale company is selling the home owners goods and when this person makes slanderous claims they are taking away business from the home owner.

No i'm just trying to find the lady who rudely got in my space and whispered in my ear that it was fake when it in fact was not. If you are that lady and you're reading this, joke's on you because I went home and immediately got it authenticated online so SUCK IT. I swear some of the people who come out to these estate sales are just mentally wrong in the head.

Sold clothing items for $10 a piece as "in good condition" when it was in fact stained..

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Chestnut Hill Estate Sales - Sold clothing items for $10 a piece as in good condition when it was...

After over a 90 minute wait to get into the sale, I found it so packed with items it was impossible to even see what was there. Going into a small room with mostly clothing in it, I was told by an employee that the clothing would be in good condition.

There was literally no room to move, so I could not view the items properly and took the employee at her word. Each item I bought was $10 a piece. When I got home I looked at the clothes I had purchased and 3 out of the 5 were stained. I contacted the company, sending 3 emails over time and they chose not to respond.

Interestingly, prior to the sale, I had contacted them about an item I was interested in purchasing and they got back to me right away. If they had been courteous enough to reply to my very non confrontational emails, perhaps I wouldn't have written this review.

In my opinion, the company has highly inflated prices and really terrible customer service. They will take your money and run.

Signed a contract with Alan Davidson, His people ran the estate sale took in over $1000.00 (most likely more than that) and never paid me or responded to my calls or emails. At one point he wrote back the check was in the mail. Never saw it. I wish I had done my research before hiring him. I've since seen many bad reviews that I suspect are accurate.

This nut job was paid, told us he had Rolex watches for sale and pulled them out of sale. His house was filthy and we had to stay in Basement, he would not let us in the house, must have thought there was something wrong with us.

What a jerk, reminds me of Steve Martin, he makes Newton Mass proud. Thank good he lives in NH, he doesn’t belong in Newton.

When a sale does 1000 and I lose thousands you aren’t a customer, you are a con man . This guy lives in mansion in NH and had us selling his trash after he removed all the items he showed me to sell, which violates his contract.

We will now be suing him for deceptive business practices . Thank God this guy left Newton.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Pissed Consumer is a forum for customers to share their grievances. Not for the business owner to post bogus positive reviews. Knowing this please be forewarned. This company changes its name to avoid litigation and to dupe unwary investors to support this charade. All it does is give the owner $$$ for new cars and wigs. A disgrace. He fills his and his employees cars with items from each house, doesnt pay homeowners. Its unbelievable it hasnt caught up with him-YET. So essentially anyone attending his sales is buying stolen goods.

I recently went to Boston to purchase furniture from these guys. Allen was extremely RUDE. The prices were higher than buying brand new furniture. Also theyre the only one who can deliver everything and they dont allow buyers to pick up what they buy. The delivery charges are extremely high. Never again.

Advertised items and then sold them before sale

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The recent sale in Wellesley Hills - they sold the advertised furniture to the people buying the house before the advertised estate sale. He said they called at 10 am and bought everything they wanted. No where do they advertise that its even an option. I was there at opening and the whole team was just not polite, nice and honestly just quite rude. Totally different from the sale I was at an hour earlier. They said do you realize we have four sales right now. Its not our fault you are over extended. Be polite, be honest, be a good business - nothing you are selling is worth arguing over. But for your clients sale - be a respectful business
View full review
Cons:
  • Not respectable and not professional

Preferred solution: Remove items that are not really for sale. If you take phone purchases advertise this. Ask you team to maybe be pleasant when making a purchase - she was literally making faces as she grabbed the cash. I had to ask if she was ok.

User's recommendation: Stay away - nasty staff and dishonest

Way, way too expensive

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This is an estate sale people, not Neman Marcus. I couldn't believe the prices of items at the sale.

I wasted so much time to get in and then for something so simple and not a major expensive brand, i.e. regular dishes, nothing fancy, and the price was absolutely absurd. I graciously declined and the man running it went into a huge explanation as to what the dishes were worth originally. Politely told him that if I had wanted to pay the original price for them, I wouldn't have been at an estate sale and walked away.

To the man who owns this business, please understand that people like me, who are not dealers, go to these estate/yard sales to get things at a decent price because we can't afford to go to Neman Marcus.

So please do not try to explain yourself to us.

Please understand, especially with what is going on in the world right now, we can't afford to overpay for anything. Thank you.

Maybe you shouldn’t be commenting about Neiman Marcus if you can’t spell it.

When you have five Rolex watches for sale and customer wants to buy one for 300. Let’s get serious , if you can’t afford the items don’t make up lies .

As far as prices go when you run a sale in a 8 or 9 million dollar home don’t expect to walk out of the same with dollar items . It’s not Neiman Marcus but it’s not the dollar store either.

This so called dealer is who frequently comes to estate sales is looking to buy 500 dollars items for less than 10 dollars . Good luck to this chump.

The owners of the house set the pricing not the estate sale company. If prices are too high it is because the owners want it that way.

They are the most unfriendly people. They cut deals with the people they know and like even when customers are willing to pay the asking the price.

Just this weekend he older man with the hair piece was dropping the price for a friend and I said - I said I wanted to buy it for the asking price.

He turned and said something I will not repeat. Just a horrible person.
